For over 15 years, Pioneer DJ headphones have been an iconic and essential piece of DJ’s toolkits around the world.

Pioneer DJ have released three new models, the HDJ-X5, HDJ-X7 and flagship HDJ-X10 headphones in both black and silver.

HDJ-X-RANGE-HEADBAND-TWIST-848x565The first improvement here is build quality, the HDJ-X7 and HDJ-X10 have been tested to U.S military grade durability these are built to withstand the most rigorous use and to show how confident Pioneer are, these new headphones include a two year warranty. Even the HDJ-X5 has a flexible headband designed to withstand abuse.

The most noticeable change when you look at the new range is the swivel mechanism, almost like a large thumb screw. This gives the HDJ-X a more durable swivel without the worry of snapping if it goes too far.

Now on to the sound, the new HDJ-X range have improved drivers and enclosures to give more bass and clearer tops. The HDJ-X10 can even reproduce 96 Khz / 24bit audio when used with the DJM-900 NXS2 mixer.

All the HDJ-X models have replaceable parts such as ear pads and cables. The HDJ-X7 and HDJ-X10 include a 1.2m coiled cable and 1.6m straight cable, the HDJ-X5 includes a 1.2m coiled cable. The HDJ-X5 and HDJ-X7 include a carry pouch and the the HDJ-X10 includes a tough case.

All three models are available in black and silver and will ship around late September / early October.
