Native Instruments have just announced updated versions of their popular keyboards for the Komplete software.

The main (and obvious) difference here are the twin displays taken from their flagship Maschine Studio. These stunning displays have proven to be game changer for users of Komplete and now the Kontrol S49 and S61 mk2 have them. These make it so much easier to browse through the amazing number of samples and instruments included and even more if you use the full version of Komplete or Ultimate. On one screen you get the thumbnail images of the effects or instruments in great detail and the other to browse further into the selected option.

Together with the touch sensitive dials below, the displays are also used for tweaking sounds or instruments and for mixing. Essentially, eliminating the need to look at your computer screen.

We always liked the touch strip pitch and mod controls on the first gen units, however someone obviously told them to go with the traditional wheels. So the new Komplete Kontrol S49 mk2 and S61 mk2 now have ergonomic traditional pitch and mod wheels and still have a touch strip in a horizontal position for added expression.

Still present is the unique and stunning light guide above the keys to highlight chords, key switches, drum cells and more.

The Komplete Kontrol S49 mk2 and S61 mk2 maintain the Fatar key beds and high quality semi weighted keys and can be powered by USB 2.0 or power supply. Both ship with Komplete Kontrol software and Komplete 11 Select which qualifies for the upgrades to Komplete 11 and Ultimate.
