Denon MCX800 angle

Denon have just announced their latest piece of hardware, the MCX8000

It is both a DJ controller designed for Serato DJ (it will also work with other software) and a USB player.

The hardware is typical Denon mcx8000Denon DJ build with a solid metal casing, large jog wheels and a full on 4 channel mixer. Each control deck has large jog wheels, 8 multi colour performance pads, needle drop touch strip and a large high resolution display.

Denon mix-800You get all the standard Serato DJ controls like Flip, slice, loop and hot cues and the mixer section offers phono inputs for DVS compatibility (DVS software upgrade required).

The mixer section also offers dedicated filter controls, 3 band EQ and LED level meters on each channel.

USB playback is optimised by using Denons Engine software to analyse and prepare tracks, however the unique feature here is that Engine can read Serato cue points. So you can use the same library without having to lose or re-set your cue points.

Denon don’t disappoint with the connectivity either, the MCX8000 has 4 stereo inputs, 2 mic inputs and 2 stereo xlr outputs for master and booth. There’s also a USB through to give you an extra socket so you don’t have to worry when using a laptop with limited USB sockets.

**UPDATED** The Denon MCX-8000 is due Late April  2016 priced at £899
